Working with Chelsea FC, we saw a chance to connect fandom, cool content and a collectible, all at once.
For matchdays, Chelsea FC wanted to build excitement and help fans express their support in person and online.
Most fans have imagined themselves on the pitch at least once, and Chelsea were keen to harness that feeling and let match-goers live that out. Our custom experience allowed fans to take a photo, add stats and print their very own trading card. A digital version of these trading cards was automatically uploaded to a custom microsite. This constructed a fan photo mosaic to celebrate their Premier League Championship win.
The booth proved hugely popular, generating hundreds of cards for budding players. This blend of digital and physical experience was just what Chelsea wanted, creating a special moment for their spectators, while creating interesting social content at the same time.
